MEET OUR #SWIMSUITMODEL: DENISE CHOW

Meet Denise (@hi_denise)

How would your best friend describe you?

Warm, fun, outgoing… with charming idiosyncrasies.

What are your three favourite emojis?

What do you love most about connecting and inspiring your followers?

I like discovering and trying new things – be it activities, food, or hobbies- and I think that connects with everyone. I hope my friends, family and followers get inspired to try things out of their comfort zone as well!

What do you feel makes your life aspirational?

Perhaps it’s all the food I make/eat! But hopefully it’s because I’m having a great time learning about this thing called ‘life’ – failing and succeeding, and hoping it shows through.

Favourite swimsuit style?

I love a bandeau bikini- you can avoid tan lines but also use the optional straps for water activities.

What does being a #swimsuitmodel mean to you? Why did you decide to be part of this campaign?

I think being a #swimsuitmodel means having a body and putting on a swimsuit. The end. No ifs, ands or buts (except one butt). I decided to be part of this campaign because it’s another fun experience that’s out of my comfort zone and I love supporting and seeing companies showcase and embracing uniqueness and authenticity.

What makes a body beautiful?

Everything. The shape, the marks, the colour- it’s all beautiful.

What makes you happy in one word?

Bread.

What makes you feel confident?

I go through ups and downs of feeling confident but knowing that that in itself is normal. I think as I get older, I feel more confident because I’m learning more about myself and who I truly am versus before, when I was copying others and trying to be someone I wasn’t. The key to confidence is finding out who you truly are (and enjoy the ride while you’re at it)!

If you could say one thing to someone who needs a confidence boost, what would it be?

What you think of yourself is much more important than what others think of you. And know that you are always your own worst critic, so be gentle on yourself.
